Highland Prairie Tessa, four year old mare 

(Smedsmo Gråen x Sugar Ridge Sere by Rokida’s Knute)

Tess is an extremely sweet, grey mare who is lightly started under saddle.  Tess was bred as a three year old, took on the first cycle, and had a very easy time foaling.  She is an excellent mother and produced a lovely filly that we are keeping as her replacement.  Tess is a very good mover, supple, with nice impulsion and length of stride.  She is a little on the lazy side, but fairly unflappable. 

 

Tess stands 14 hands.  Her conformation is solid with nice legs, a very nice neck and an excellent shoulder.  She is a little long bodied, but also has a long shoulder, hip and a very strong top-line.    This is a very nice mare who is ready for full time training.  She will be weaned from her filly in early July and will be sent out for 60 days of training at that time.  Her sales price includes the training and also a free breeding to our blue ribbon stallion, Tico.  Like all the mares we sell, if her new owner wishes to breed her back in the future, we will give 50% discounted breedings to any Olivia Farm stallion.   For full pedigree information, click here.  Tessa’s price is $7,000.

Snowy’s Cosmo, thirteen year old gelding

(Heljo’s Cruizer x Valea’s Nicole by Anvil’s Baldur)

Cosmo is a beautiful and talented grey gelding who stands 14 hands and weighs 1000 lbs.  He has earned a 79 for conformation and movement and a gold medallion in driving from the NFHR.  He has competed at training level dressage and beginner novice eventing with good scores.  He has schooled 1st and 2nd level dressage movements, jumps 2’9”, rides western, games, drives multiples, is a fabulous trail and work horse.  He is truly the all around Fjord enjoyed by mature riders and kids alike!

 

Cosmo does have a lot of energy and is looking for the right home where his rider can turn that forward energy in a positive direction and really enjoy all that he can do!  He would be happy riding, driving, or both, but definitely needs a willing partner and is happiest when he gets used on a regular basis.
