Frozen Semen

Olivia Farm is excited to now be handling the importation, storage, and sales of frozen semen from two of the best stallions in Norway—the mother country of the Fjord and home to some fantastic individuals that could have a great impact on the North American breeding population! Because of the generations of careful breeding selection, these Fjord stallions both exhibit excellent type, movement, and structure. They have proven offspring with evaluation results, and we now have confirmation of successful insemination in Norway, Denmark and Belgium. Shipping is extremely easy and can be done as needed, or at any time if your vet or farm has a storage facility, making timing with your mare’s cycle that much easier. Perakrossen, 1pr

Winner of the Best in Show award at Norfjordeid in 2010, he was awarded 10 for type, 9 for body and musculature, 8 for leg quality, 8 for movement, and 9 for overall. He stands 14.2 hands, has good bone substance and girth while still having a lot of air and style. He was awarded his first premie in 2010 and top honors in the mature stallion class against the other extremely good stallions. He is a very easy going horse with a good work ethic. He had very good testing scores in riding, driving, and draft, at both 3 and 4 years of age. Perakrossen would be a suitable candidate for a lot of mares as he is very well balanced and an extremely good all-around type of horse. Torsetblakken, 1pr

Awarded his 1st premie at Norfjordeid in 2010, Torsetblakken was placed 2nd in quality to Perakrossen with scores of 9 for type, 9 for body and musculature, 8 for leg quality, 9 for movement and 9 for overall. He stands 15 hands and is a very strongly built Fjord. Torsetblakken has an absolutely gorgeous head and we saw that beauty passed down to many of his offspring. His colts did very well in their young stallion classes and were very popular with the crowd. His son, Fjelltor was the top 3 year old stallion at Nordfjordeid in 2010 and top 4 year old in 2011. Torsetblakken scored well in his riding, driving, and draft at ages 4 and 5 and has a very good temperament. Anyone looking to add size and substance to their mare would do well to think about Torsetblakken—with the added bonus of beauty and brains along with it.
